There’s the kind who arrives, sets the visual direction, hands off briefs, and waits for the work to come back. And there’s the kind who leads the work AND builds the operation that makes the work sustainable.
I’m the second kind.
I lead from inside the work, and I build the engine behind it. I learned both because I had to. 15 years in creative leadership, an MBA in marketing, and a decade running a 90-person creative studio that I took from a $50K deficit to a $50K surplus. Along the way I trained more than 500 creatives who are now working in the industry.
I call this speaking khaki and creative. Both languages. Same conversation.
